MOE promulgated a revision of the Enforcement Ordinance for Chemicals Control Act.

In a bid to improve the system for managing imported chemicals, the draft simplifies the procedures for import permission and declaration for restricted substances which are toxic substances. Under the current Enforcement Ordinance, a person willing to import restricted substances which are toxic substances must obtain permission for the restricted substances and make a declaration for the toxic substances, respectively. However, under the revision the person is exempt from the declaration of import for these substances.
