MOLIT pre-announced a revision draft of MVCA Enforcement Regulation concerning rectification measures. It seeks to enhance the defect rectification procedures for effective implementation. Major revisions include the following:
- Publicly notify the plan of defect rectification and economic compensation on one or more daily newspapers, regardless of the location of the newspapers’ main office (Article 41 and 41-2)
- Include defect rectification implementation measures in the defect rectification plan for prompt implementation (Article 42)
- Report the progress status on defect rectification implementation each quarter, until the rate reaches 90% (currenly, 100%) except for critical defects (Article 42)
