MOTIE pre-announced a revision draft of Enforcement Regulation for Electrical Appliances and Consumer Products Safety Control Act concerning EV chargers. It intends to expand the EV charger’s scope subject to the safety verification to brace for ultra-fast EV chargers. Under the draft, the rated output of EV chargers is increased from 200kVA or less to 500 kVA or less.
