MOTIE has pre-announced the draft Regulation for Fuel Economy and Rating Identification of Motor Vehicles. It seeks to inform consumers more accurately about the energy efficiency of EVs and establish the enhanced and comprehensive efficiency rating system. The draft proposed to revise the scope of the identification and ratings using the Grade 1~5 based on the combined FE of the vehicle. The label design displaying energy efficiency and ratings will be revised, and a procedure for issuing a confirmation of energy efficiency and rating report will be established.
