MSIT pre-announced the revision draft. Wireless charging technology is essential for the promotion of the eco-friendly mobility industry and commercialization of EVs in line with carbon neutrality. Currently, the frequency band of 79~90 kHz is internationally recommended and used for wireless charging of EVs. However, Korea has not allocated any frequency band for wireless charging. This revision draft aims to foster eco-friendly mobility industry and to promote the use of wireless charging devices by allocating 79~90kHz for radio application equipment (wireless power transmission).
