MOLIT pre-announced a revision draft which intends to enhance the investigation procedures and transparency through the deliberation of the defect analysis technical committee (“the technical committee”). The major revisions include as follows:
- Deliberation by the technical committee in the investigation procedures (Article 7-4 thru Article 7-9)
- The performance testing agency shall have the committee to conduct deliberation concerning major issues for the investigation.
- Period for the main investigation of manufacturing defect (Article 7-8)
- Investifation period not exceeding one year
