As a large number of false advertisements have been reported concerning the overstatement of driving range for recent years, MOLIT seeks to revise MVCA and KMVSS as part of its efforts to address increasing claims on exaggerated EV driving range on a full charge. The proposals are as follows:
- Include “overstatement of driving range on a full charge” to the scope of economic compensation under the MVCA provision concerning the defect rectification
- Include “EV’s driving range on a full charge” to the items for the tolerance of declared FE under the KMVSS provision concerning fuel economy
