Bill proposal of MVCA

With growing awareness of the climate crisis such as natural disasters, it is increasingly urgent for the government to draw up proactive and practical measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Since currently the land transport sector makes up 11.9% of total greenhouse gas emissions in Korea, a group of lawmakers proposed a bill which prohibits new registrations of internal combustion engine vehicles, thereby promoting the transition to a carbon-neutral society and contributing to the improvement of public welfare.
