Revision draft of Regulation for Test procedures for Energy efficiency, Greenhouse gas emission and Fuel economy for Motor Vehicles

This revision draft aims to improve the FE test procedure and make the test more practical.

  • Allow the test using a robot driver for FE test as in the emission test under MOE
  • Require re-approval if changing the test procedure for coast down
  • Relax the criteria of the distance from the vehicle front for installing the variable speed cooling fan
  • Allow the premium gasoline upon test under specific condition
  • Increase the testing speed for the Constant Speed Cycle (CSC) under the MCT test procedure
  • Establish tire RRC calculation for vehicle equipped with different tires on the front and the rear
  • Clarify the calculation method of PHEV GHG emission
