Bill Proposal for MVCA Revision on Warranty Repair

By April 5, 2023June 14th, 2023No Comments

The current Act mandates vehicle manufacturers to provide warranty repairs for defects that occur within a certain period or mileage after the sale of a vehicle, as well as supplying necessary parts for maintenance for a certain period. However, it does not specify maintenance facility requirements. As a result, there is often a shortage of workshops for warranty repairs, leading to lengthy wait times for customers. The proposed bill aims to address this by requiring manufacturers to operate a certain number of facilities and staff for warranty repairs. The bill will enter into force 6 months after the promulgation date.
