The revision draft of the Regulations for New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) was promulgated. In a bid to effectively implement KNCAP and speed up the procedures, the revision seeks to divide the provisions into administrative requirements and technical requirements. With the revision, regulatory changes of technical requirements such as detailed test procedures will be notified on KNCAP website (www.kncap.org).The revision include as follows:
- Specify administrative requirements such as safety assessment areas and selection of test vehicles
- Establish a legal basis for documentation assessment of in-house test vehicles
- Specify technical requirements to delegate the establishment, revision or abolishment thereof to the appointed testing agency (KATRI)
