The revision draft of the Regulations for New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) is pre-announced. In a bid to effectively implement KNCAP and speed up the procedures, the draft seeks to divide the provisions into administrative requirements and technical requirements. The revision include as follows:
- Specify administrative requirements such as safety assessment areas and selection of test vehicles
- Establish a legal basis for documentation assessment of in-house test vehicles
- Specify technical requirements to delegate the establishment, revision or abolishment thereof to the appointed testing agency
