KOTI (Korea Transport Institute) and KATRI presented the draft for the vehicle classification under the Enforcement Regulation of MVCA. The draft seeks to include EVs in the vehicle classification in line with the rapidly growing EV market.
- The maximum power for electric PCs is specified as follows:

2. Instead of classifying PCs as small-sized, mid-sized, and large-sized vehicles, the Draft 2 classifies following PCs as ‘normal type’:
- Vehicles with the displacement not less than 1,000cc, and the length, width, or height exceeding those of the “general type light-wt. vehicles”
