KATRI presented the revision draft for the 2022 KNCAP active safety. The revisions include as follows:
► Evasive assist system: a system for controlling vehicle lateral movement for a limited duration to avoid or mitigate a collision
- The VUT test speed: 65±3 km/h
- Measure 3 times the driving path and lateral speed upon the stabilization of the longitudinal and lateral speeds.
- Calculate the VUT_offset left, VUT_offset right for the driving lane of VUT, and VUT_vel_lateral
- Two tests are carried out: Test for avoiding stationary vehicle and test for avoiding the pedestrian
► Autonomous Emergency Braking System (2022 test protocol)
- Change the target vehicle from EVT to GVT
- Implement lateral overlap scenario of interurban and urban
- Assess the pedestrian crossing scenario in low ambient lighting
- Use parked vehicle for the obstacle in bicyclist crossing scenario
